It drives the people crazy who get the digest version of the list. Suzy PS I don't think you are going to impress any of the women on this list by being able to afford an M3.

If you need someone to yank your chain, we're here for you. :) It gives us something to do on an otherwise slow news day. >I'm tired of seeing women with an 8 inch stick in their mouth, I know a lot >of women can handle the big stuff ;-) > >But for some reason the majority of women and non-smoking men prefer small >flavored cigars. Therefore, I simply offered them as an additional option, >since women usually ask for small and/or flavored cigars. You may know more >about cars than I do, but I sure know the cigar business. As for knowing more about cars - heck no, I'm a simple programmer (I can write Hello World is many languages :) ). Learning more about these cars all the time. Yesterday, I learned that someone justified the ///M on their 5-series by putting E36M3 motorsport mirrors on it and scraping off the 528 or 540 that should have been on the rear fascia. I do enjoy the opportunity to read about the cars, the inquiries, the responses - and some times offer something that may be useful, 'tho I've usually done that off-list. I don't doubt that you know more about cigars than I do. Finally, as a non-smoker, I'll pass on even the small or flavored cigar. The Rum that Mike mentioned, that might be more interesting... -- h mailto:jfiles@alumni.ucsd.edu / ICQ:27292190 w mailto:jfiles@aseg.com

#3. all this suspension stuff!!!???? kinda long & cracked strut towers - from John Genereux

Date: Tue, 26 Jun 2001 16:46:51 -0700 (PDT) From: John Genereux <white98m3@yahoo.com> Subject: all this suspension stuff!!!???? kinda long & cracked strut towers Ok as you know I posted a couple weeks ago that my shock towers had cracked. Not the normal top cracks but right along the weld. The car has been fixed.. big props to Shine Racing in Walpole MA. They are suspension EXPERTS. It was their analysis that the HR sport/BL sport suspension has the following problems. 1) at static height the car is resting heavily on the bumpstops. 2) the springs are too low and too soft. For a spring to lower the car that much it has to be MUCH stiffer. 3) the combo of the shocks and springs are too short. either the spring or the shock will bottom out. these facts coupled with the boston roads are what caused my towers to crack and are also what cause the "harsh ride" we all see. Their solution: get stiffer taller springs. what I did(can't afford c/o's) HR OE sport springs, they have the same spring rate as HR sports and I will trim the bumpstops. this setup should keep the performance the same up avoid shock tower issues. My advise CHECK YOU WELDS!!!! IF you are running this suspension or the race springs. Now for the ?'s is swapping the strut hats too much -camber for the street? what is the approx height of a stock 98 M3(wheel center to fender? How much can crash bolts adjust camber? Thanks JOHN ===== ///M3's and Jet Skis/// __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! Mail http://personal.mail.yahoo.com/
